Are you sure?

Today, after a long therapy session, in which I poured out all my feelings of how happy and in love I am with whom I believe to be my soul-mate, my shrink asked me if I was sure this guy wasn't a figment of my imagination. FML

I don't know what he's talking about. Imaginary people are the best! They're always there with you, no matter what! I prefer to capture mine and use them for hard labor but whatever works for you I guess.

Is the shrink real? A good way to determine would be to check your wallet and see if large amounts of money have gone missing.

Yeah, don't worry. My 21 year old Super-Model, extremely rich girlfriend's existance is often questioned by my peers. :/

Well I suppose if he was your imagination he would love you forever.. That's better than nothing right?

If you are prone to fantasy and / or a pathological liar, the question is valid. Other than that, maybe it's time for a new therapist.

It doesn't matter because you're all figments of my imagination anyway

The therapist might have been asking the question to provoke a certain line of thought in OP, that would in turn benefit her. He may not have been actually trying to attain info OPs love interest.

I think it time to slap your therapist :)
