At least they're reading them…

Today, I spent ages writing a draft press release as part of a copywriting job application. I worked really hard and read it through several times before submitting. They emailed me to point out that I'd misspelled the name of the company. Twice. FML

Just claim that they’re lying and you’ll get hired as press secretary for the white house and eventually Melissa McCarthy will play you in no time!

Blame autocorrect, works most of the time.

Were the misspellings consistent at least? If not, you may just be a really bad copywriter!

sorry but ydi. if you can't friggin read you don't deserve the job.

It’s always a good idea to have someone objectively proof your work. Lesson learned.

How long is "ages"? Do you know how time demanding copywriting is? You have to bang that stuff out, with accuracy. Especially if you were taking extra time to get it perfect, you'd double check things like that. YDI
