If it makes you feel better, you might have been slumped over at some point in time, making it hard for your classmates to recognise you. In any case, sorry to hear about it... I know I'm prone to doing the same thing, so I always arrange with friends beforehand =P Hopefully you can make up for it somehow!
I have a hard time believing your story, there is no way a building is open 24hour, they have to close it and have security check the premises. There is no way you spent the night in a hallway at a building, it would have been in the least, closed off to prevent anyone from entering the test room prior to the exam. If there is any truth in this, you either (a) overslept at home, or (b) showed up an hour early to review and fell asleep. As a fellow student I realise we all make mistakes, I think we have all failed at something. However you can’t blame your friends and classmates, it is ultimately up to you to manage your time and be prepared.
that totally sucks for you but if you think about it from the students' perspectives, if you are walking into a class and saw someone asleep would you risk pissing that person off by waking him? you'd assume that person didn't have a final at that moment. man this FML is way too depressing you can't even laugh. hope things work out man.
Next time, don't study all night. Very stupid, you're just going to end up falling asleep during testing, or like you did...miss it.
That sucks, that happened to one of my friends and he had an A in the class but finished with an incomplete. I was one of the 300 people, I wouldn't of woken you either. How were they supposed to know you were taking the same test? Retake the course?
seriously, this kind of thing isn't just embarrassing or trivial like all the other FMLs. OP now failed this class and said goodbye to a few tenths of his GPA which screws his/her chances at grad school and LIFEEEEE. FYL. whether or not it's OPs fault, it still hurts. these kinds of posts make me want to cry. you have all my sympathy. all the others who are flaming are probably in high school or don't go to a very good college :P and to those who say things like "studies have shown that it is better to sleep blah blah": not everyone's study habits are the same - all nighters before big exams have saved my grade countless times. you just have to pull it off well - ALWAYS put extra alarms on your phone no matter where you are or what time it is. at least this will probably change your study habits and you'll be pressured to ace all your future classes.
YDI for being unable to understand the concept of getting rest. What does it matter how much you study if you're too ******* exhausted to concentrate through an exam?

Never stay up all night studying. You just won't remember it.
Just an FYI for the future: it is better to study less and get 6-9 hours of sleep than study more and get less. You will remember things better with more sleep. Studies have shown those that get more sleep, even after studying less did better.
