Am I the only one who thinks that there's a possibility that no one slept with anyone else's best friend? Maybe OP started the conversation and they really were speaking hypothetically but the partner took it completely the wrong way and thought that OP was admitting to cheating with their partner's best friend.

But why in the world would you have a hypothetical conversation like that? For any reason? That is just terrible and idiotic. "So, suppose I killed your cat.." Does that sound good to you? I don't think a conversation like that could have any good outcome.

I agree, I thought of the possibility that this was just a hypothetical question. However it would still be an FML because that's not something you just say. Plus, why would they say that if it wasn't on their mind. Either way it's an FML.
