Sure is good that there's more than one day in Fall! Who cares, get married when you can and make sure your best friend KNOWS the date so they don't pick the same day/weekend/whatever. So you can actually attend each others weddings!
No! we must be married on the equinox!
Getting married is not a competition to see who can get married first. It about finding/being the person who is going to be a good husband/wife. Your friend’s plans should not have anything to do with or be in competition with yours. Be glad you hopefully found someone who loves you and who you love and who is willing to commit to the relationship - That is what is important. Everything else is just decoration on the cake. It’s immature to expect the world to cater to your plans. Find out what day or weekend you friend plans to marry and pick a date that’s not in conflict if you want to attend your friend’s wedding and vice versa. Remember however that either yours or her plans might get shifted by some unforeseen event or scheduling issue. I suspect this coming fall is going to see a lot of weddings because of the delays until the pandemic is over.
I agree, hopefully you and your bestie will soon enough both be happily married. It's not THAT hard to pic different dates. What's the problem again?
Book your wedding for the first day of fall, 9/22/2022, and you'll win! That's what it's all about, right?
I really don't see what the problem is here?
Fall weddings are a thing. You're both getting married to the loves of your lives. Be happy, ensure the dates are different, and get over yourself.
So if it's so much of an issue that it's an FML, maybe you're more frenemies than besties. Is she doing Fall 2022 JUST because you are? Suggest a double wedding. If she's really your bestie, cool. If you're insecure, change the date to late summer or Fall 2021. This should not be a competition or a speed race.
Get pregnant and time it so you can show your ultrasound and announce your pregnancy at her wedding. No one upstages you!
