Today, my fiancé and his family accused me of being with him only because he's rich, refusing to go ahead with the wedding. I accepted his marriage proposal 4 years ago, when he was penniless and unemployed. FML

My guess the reality is that when he was poor he figured you where the best he could get, now he has a job and some money he and his family feel they can do better.

probably because they are aware you were with him before he had anything, now that he does have money, they probably think he could "do better". I'd let him go OP. otherwise you'd be doomed to a lifetime of misery. he will get what's coming to him in the end, in this case, a gold digging wife who doesn't give two ***** about him and will leave as soon as the money dries up
