Today, I found a conversation between my husband and some girl arranging a one-time thing while I'm away visiting my family in a few weeks. It's our wedding anniversary. FML

You should cancel your plan to visit his family at the last minute, or tell him you are and watch him freak the hell out. Get it all on recording.

I think the OP meant she found the message on their anniversary and that it was set up for when she leaves to visit family in a few weeks.

I could be wrong (it wouldn't be the first time - heck it wouldn't even be the first time today!) but I read it as she's leaving town in a few weeks, but it's their anniversary now. As in, she found out today, on their anniversary, about the planned upcoming cheat-a-thon.

Now, assuming the plan was sexual related and nothing could be wrongfully misinterpreted, I would cancel the trip, explain to your family and work if you rearranged it, and tell him you’re not going and see his reaction. Then have a big talk and start handing him some divorce papers!
