Today, I received a poorly-written letter from my asshole neighbor in which he threatened to "sew" me because my dog shat on his lawn again. I went over, asked if he needed some wool for his sewing, and told him to stop being an idiot. Now he's apparently hiring a lawyer for real. FML

I wouldn't be too concerned. I don't know of anyone being sued because their dog performed a natural bodily function on someone else's lawn. Perhaps in future you should keep plastic bags on you when you take your dog outside so that you can dispose of the waste. Just for some added reassurance, I'm not sure how successful your neighbour will be in obtaining a successful lawyer for this 'special' case if his literacy skills are equal to a 5 year olds.

If I was a lawyer I'd take the case. It's an easy waste of time for sure, but that'd be free money for me. This guy could get what, a hundred dollars? Either way I could charge a thousand or two...... So OP don't worry. He'll lose more then he'd gain.

I'm sorry, but dog feces can transmit a number of diseases and parasites. If another dog happened to pick up something from this, OP should sure as shit be responsible for any vet bills.

Offense, but you're an asshole. Your dog shat in his yard. It's your responsibility to clean up after your dog. Going over and making fun of his spelling isn't going to help your case either. YDI. And try to be nice to people. Not everyone is as "smart" as you.
