Blast from the past

By fat_thighs - This FML is from back in 2009 but it's good stuff - United States

Today, I read a PostSecret that said, "I'm afraid my thighs will start to touch soon." My thighs have always touched. I didn't even know thighs weren't supposed to touch. FML

this isn't so bad really. your thighs touching doesn't mean you're fat or anything.

I bet her thighs never touched cause there's always a guy in between them!

They are supposed to touch, the PostSecret was probably written by someone with an eating disorder

I've read that one too and thought the exact same thing. It bothered me for days because mine always have. But, in all honesty, I think it looks unhealthy if they don't.

I'm pretty darn skinny and they've always touched. I don't know who thought they aren't supposed to.

Who ever wrote that is an anorexic bitch

Some people do, some people don't. My boyfriend is bow-legged and rail thing. He's perfectly healthy, but his legs do not touch.

people sometimes think im anorexic and my legs touch. I think its gross and Id rather have a gap .. but most people's legs do so its not like .. a huge deal.

Don't worry about it. Thighs touching is perfectly natural.

i run six days a week. my thighs touch. dont worry about it. and besides, if anyone is looking that closely at your thighs, they're close enough for you to kick in the face.

My thighs don't touch...I'm thin, not skinny (5'3" and 95 pounds), and I definitely have fatty legs and and a fat ass. I also have gigantic thigh muscles (my legs are the kind that are shaped like a ham...big upper curving into a thin lower), which makes it even more apparent. However, I big hips (34" around at the widest area) and so my thighs have a gap and they don't even come close to touching when I walk. Also, to the person who said that their gym teacher was a bitch because she said that your thighs weren't supposed to touch when you stand with your feet shoulder width apart, your gym teacher was pretty much right. When you stand with your feet together, it is normal for your thighs to touch. When you stand with your feet shoulder width apart and your thighs are still touching, you are pretty heavy in your lower area. And everybody should stop ragging on #139...yes, she is very underweight, but look at her username. It says "love4running"...a lot of good runners are built that small and most runners do have very low body fat, so it could just be from a lot of exercise.
