Today, I had three sheriffs come to my door, turns out my boyfriend of three years went on a robbing spree last week and brought the stolen merchandise back to my apartment. The best part: He used my car while committing the robberies. FML

Today, I stayed at my boyfriend's house after mine was broken into. The robber took my laptop, jewellery, and tons of clothes. When I walked into his house, I was greeted by his brother, wearing one of my stolen shirts. FML

Today, I got a call from the police that my house had been burglarized, but an off-duty cop caught the criminal. I pull up to see my detained, psycho ex-boyfriend sheepishly grinning at me. He had three of my lace panties and two of my bras, claiming it was "all for memories' sake". FML

Today, I borrowed a roommate's car to get groceries. I came out to find the car stolen. I called the cops, and the responding officer took the info and drove me home to give the roomie the bad news in person. 15 minutes later, they found the car. I'd parked it on the opposite side of the lot. FML

Uh Oh! This rings warning bells... I remember a US case where a black guy was involved in selling street drugs (can't remember which). He didn't use any himself, but he did use his girlfriends car in the process of buying/selling the drugs. His girlfriend was totally unaware that he was involved in drugs and certainly wasn't aware that he was using her car to sell them on the street. So she was TOTALLY innocent. I'm sure the FBI were involved at some point in the proceedings and they decided to prosecute the girl because her car was used for illegal activity in selling drugs. She was convicted and incarcerated for a very long time. I thought the case was totally outrageous... and it also smacked of racial hatred.

I know this is going to fall on deaf ears, but it'll make me feel better to say it. A jurisdictions that has a sheriff only has ONE - the guy in charge, similar to a police chief, the one elected to the position. The people at your door were more likely DEPUTIES, the sheriff rarely makes house calls.

How to be a successful thief use a steal a car or find one that can't be traced back to you put a mask on 1 mile before you reach your target always wear gloves when you get a liscence they take your fingerprint so use gloves make sure if you bring a gun be ready to use it people don't like to be robbed and now you know and knowing is half the battle
