Sparring is practice. You’re not supposed to try to actually hurt someone when sparring.
Thats not fair to you. I'm a girl, I do these exercises (muay thai) and sparring is to attempt, but not full force the real moves aka parcticing. I don't participate because I don't like sparring. She's either didnt realize what she was getting into, aka not told (bad teacher) or wasn't listening (bad her).
Safe to say that OP was screwed no matter what they did in this situation. If they went easy, then sparing partner was not going to learn their actual limitations. If they went full out then this resulted. Whoever the hell was responsible for this matchup bears a great deal of responsibility for this fiasco... FYI - When someone says "don't go easy on me" they are almost always bluffing and not serious. After the first blow when it was obvious your partner was overmatched you should have stopped. Its sparring, not a championship fight.
