Children can have very unrealistic expectations about their parents. And then there is also the possibility of some degree of an oedipus complex (Google it) that can make feelings even more messy… If you both have explained to son that this was something that couples do, then give him some time to readjust to some new “facts of life” he just observed. Probably given a few days to come to grip with seeing this dimension to his parents relationship he will probably go back to “normal”. Don’t push it, just let him adjust… If this attitude goes on beyond a week then it’s time to take son to counseling. Either the act was more upsetting than OP would expect or Son has some psychological issues that need to be addressed… Finally don’t let your child set the standards for the relationship between you and his Mom. Eventually many children see things their parents didn’t intend them to see. It’s just life…
Oedipus did not know that was his mother and as soon as he found out, he gouged out his eyes. He never lusted after his mother *knowingly* as he was not raised by his own parents nor knew who he came from. And if OP and wife didn't at *least* give their son the mechanics of sex by 12 years old, that is on the parents. At this point, best they can do is give him a book about the fundamentals of sex and maturity geared towards pre-teens and talk with a therapist that deals with kids like this.
Are you that bad at it?
I would recommend you start locking your bedroom door. He’ll recover eventually hopefully. Kids are pretty resilient.
I would recommend they teach him how to know and wait to be invited in.
This is why your sex dungeon needs a lock.
Should have locked the bedroom door. YDI
just how 'rough' was the sex? maybe that's why...
