Burn!

By morningeyes - 19/05/2009 14:19 - United States

Today, I was trying to remove a temporary tattoo my friend put on my cheek. When warm water and soap didn't work, I tried something else. Just so you know, Mr. Clean Magic Erasers do not, in fact, work by magic. Tell that to the massive chemical burn covering half my face. FML

Smart. Not the best idea, now is it? Magic erasers are not for bodies.

well...there goes grade 10 science for ya. want to drink some bleach?

You can't scrub a mushroom tattoo off, just wait a day or two, they disappear like hickeys. *The more you know* #129 - touche, didn't think of that. However, your hands are less pourous (sp?) and sensitive than your face I think.

You can't get a chemical burn from these things. This urban legend has been busted, this sounds a bit fake. http://www.snopes.com/medical/toxins/eraser.asp However, you can get a burn from rubbing anything on your face repeatedly. Especially things that are not meant for human skin. Think for more than 5 seconds next time. Edit: Oops, looks like #128 beat me to posting the link. :)

My mom did the same to get hair dye off of my neck. Only, she decided not to tell me what she was using until, bent over the sink, I started complaining of a burning sensation on my neck. I run and for two weeks my neck and face burned from the sweat.
