someone needs to tell him beggars can't be choosers
I might be messed up for saying this, but wouldn't it be funny if someone took the change while he was chasing you? This would teach him to be grateful for what he has.
Damn. I would've asked for the money back then. He should've said thanks and been done with it.
Maybe you can ask when he's done chasing you.
If I were him I would be glad i got something at all...unless he was getting massive tips through out the day
awe dont let this change who you are OP you sound very considerate
I'd have rammed his head through the wall and taken every tip he had...and I'm a musician.
Street musicians are punks.
Street musicians aren't homeless or beggars, they need to buy a permit to busk, and where I'm from they are generally college students that do music courses and homeless people wouldn't tend to own an instrument. YDI for being such an idiot and assuming he's either homeless or busking is his only source of income.
it's the thought that counts OP, I'm sure you're one of the few who took a moment to acknowledge his music. good on you, it's unfortunate he had to be rude about it.

at least you were thoughtful enough to give him something in the first place! he should have been thankful.
Good thing he was 'extremely' well fed, if he was skinnier he may have caught you.
