Why were they in your bedroom, and what were they looking for? And isn't it up to you what you do with yourself on your own time? I really think they're overreacting; but on the bright side, at least they won't get any unplanned grandchildren as long you use them...
Their house their rules. No they didn’t overreact. When you become a parent you’ll understand.
Parents need to be able to come into their kids rooms to check if their kids aren't doing or involved in anything they shouldn't such as drugs, underage sex, drinking alcohol without an adult present, child pornography, incel chat rooms sending rape threats or stalking and cyberbullying. It's not about being disrespectful of your privacy but rather making sure that you're not endangering yourself or being a danger to others.
Whoa kiddo. You’re under 18 living under your parents roof. Whether you like it or not, their house; their rules. Play stupid games win stupid prizes. If you’re old enough to ****, you’re old enough to move to your own place. That’s life. YDI
Maybe having sex under the age of 18 was a huge rule that your parents told you not to break. Underage sex shouldn't be a norm because it makes you vulnerable to abuse, manipulation, unplanned pregnancy and other issues. They're kicking you out so that you can take full responsibility for your own sex life and the consequences that come from that.
