I haaaate that...new TVs are too damn “smart” for their own good (damn I feel like an old person shouting at the clouds). I had a similar situation with a new tv in December that was forcing me to connect to the internet before I could use any apps...but the way my internet is set up, I needed access to the web browser app to connect to the internet 😓 Luckily, the internet helped me - I searched online (from my phone, not the tv), and other people who had had that problem posted discussions/solutions online. I suggest you do the same. Someone will have an answer for you!
Customer service? Or refund if that doesn't work out.
Have you tried turning it off and on again?
Actually you may need to unplug it from the power, wait 5 minutes and plug it back in.
Same difference.
I am an electronic engineer and I once worked for RCA in TV Set design. Nearly every major piece of electronics has at least one or more microprocessors inside (computer). At least one of them in the control system is always on as long as the appliance or set is plugged in. To reset the control computer you have to physically disconnect the power plug from the wall socket, wait a few minutes (at least 5) for the power inside to drain down, then plug it in again. With anything that has a computer (microprocessor) in it, it can sometimes get “confused” and get locked up. If something behaves erratically, shut it all the way down and restart it. That often fixes the problem. My Dad was an appliance repairman. He had a microwave with “issues”. I told him about this and by simply unplugging his microwave, waiting, then plugging it back in it took care of the problem. It won’t solve every problem, but it does solve many.
Well it sucks... Why doesn't it let you log on? Maybe you should contact Amazon Costumer Service? Usually with smart TV you should be able to connect to Youtube at least? That doesn't work either? If nothing works, ask for a refund and get another one
Most smart TV sets use Amazon for streaming. Do you not have an Amazon account? If you have roommate's or kids you can password protect from them buying anything
The only smart thing to do is not to but a tv.
