Today, it was my engagement party. All was going fabulously, until my fiancé's dad decided to give us a toast, and completely forgot my name in front of all my family and friends. I've been with his son for 7 years. FML

Don't take it personally, that just happens. Maybe he was just too nervous. That sometimes happens to me, and for a moment I can't remember person's name.

I feel your pain. At our wedding last year, the MC got my husband's mother's name and his sister's name mixed up, so he gave the wrong name to two of my family members who gave speeches, and used the wrong name in his speech as well. The MC and my husband had been friends for twenty years at the time of the wedding.....
