I'm curious if OP ripped into the mom. I would have yelled at her for letting her kids trespass.
Oh god
It's not the kids fault if the parents never taught them right *shake head* What a shame.
A parent's children can do no wrong these days. You know that. Their bad grades are their teachers' fault, too.
And the high gas prices are the gas stations fault

Show it anyway#68 : So you are saying that only 10% of failing students out there, are the kids who don't pay attention and slack off? I'm also sure that it is very uncommon for a whole class to fail. A teacher's reputation is usually built on their teaching methods and the success of his/her students.
I wouldn't say it's the fault of 'bad' teachers, just ones that aren't willing enough to compromise. I tutored all through high school, and the kids I helped were not stupid and they didn't slack off, their teacher's methods just didn't help them. Some people just don't respond to certain teaching methods, and unfortunately a lot of teachers are too arrogant to admit that they could be at fault in any way, so they just blame the student. I watched it happen non-stop for 4 years at 2 different high schools in completely different states, and so many times I had teachers warn me that a student was going to be a 'waste of my time' when in fact after a little bit of effort the exact opposite was true. I had one guy who was consistently failing 5 classes throughout freshman and sophomore years before the guidance councillor recommended tutoring, and when his grades started to improve drastically 3 different teachers accused him of cheating. He graduated with a 3.6 GPA. It tends to be veteran teachers that are the worst, because they often assume they know better than everyone, and refuse to acknowledge that even if the majority of students understand, there are still some that might not. It still drives me mad because so many kids will continue to 'slip through the cracks' because of pure egotism.
#57 Defensive much? I was being sarcastic.
Those are terrible parents if they don't watch what their kids are doing.
Did you try to explain what actually happend?
They didn't think Fairly Oddparents was true. The zombie hamster lives!
Wasnt it a gerbel?
How in the world did remember that

OP, a simple explanation if not done already will definitely solve the situation at hand. As for the kids, I doubt you'll see them bringing trouble your way any time soon.
Morgan Freeman has spoken!
I don't think you could get any more stupid than that.
You must be new here.
people only get stupider from here
She needs to Get a wake up call fast.
If her kid was unsupervised long enough to get into the neighbors yard and dig up a dead animal, I'm betting it was at least 10 or 15 minutes and probably longer. I doubt that could be done in five minutes. For that amount of time, she didn't know where the kid was or what it was doing. The parent should count her blessings that her kid was only traumatized, not kidnapped.
#40, don't be ridiculous. Kids don't need constant, unwavering supervision if they're playing in their own backyard. We're probably talking about 5-9 year olds here, probably playing a "buried treasure" game, not infants who need constant attention. Their mother should have apologized for their trespassing, but otherwise she did nothing wrong by letting them have some free play time.
Maybe they were traumatised when they saw claw marks on the inside of the hamster's box and realised you had buried it alive. Or maybe they're just a bunch of uncivilised brats who need their asses beaten by actual parents who actually give a **** when they misbehave. My bet is on the latter.
Solid comment. Part comical, part true. Well done good sir.
#18 Suck-up.
Don't hate on the love. You're such a... oh good name.
See! Another clever comment! These men need their praise!
Doc is back! I was beginning to wonder if you'd died.
