Drip drip drip

Today, I was staying at my boyfriend's house for the first time. It's a small, old cottage in the countryside. I went up for a shower and didn't realise that the plug hole was blocked. Before I knew it, the bathroom floor was completely flooded and the ceiling below was dripping. FML

You seriously didn't notice the tub filling up and your feet splashing in the water. YDI big time!

It's obviously Taylor Swift, duh. YWIA

When the water is getting even a little high, you're supposed to turn off the water! YDI for letting it run to the point that it flooded!

Ummm wasn't the water creeping up your ankles? That should have been a sign that it's not draining properly. :P

You should always ask how to use the bath even it is lavish or dilapidated

How did you not notice the bath filling up?

I can understand not noticing at first, but are you really THAT oblivious to where it got that bad?!

Not saying that this is the case, but some European bathrooms the way they are designed not having a tub, you basically stand on the bath room floor while you shower then use a squegie to clean. With the water spreading over the whole floor it could be hard to tell the drain was not working.

True, my great aunt has an old english cottage with a shower room, literally two inches of water could flood the place.
