You should have serenaded her! "Hey I just met you, and this is crazy! But here's my number, so call me maybe!"
It's actually not an easy situation. Waitstaff makes most of their money by basically 'being nice' to their customers. It can be very difficult to tell when that line has crossed over from being 'professionally nice' to being 'personally nice'. The flip side of course is they are really in a bad position to tell someone who's being just a tad too pushy to **** off because their money is on the line. I'd actually love to hear what some folks in the industry have to say, anyone in the biz have a comment?
On my first day as a waitress, one of the older ones told me to just act sympathetic and say something like, "I'm sorry, hun, but my boyfriend wouldn't like that much." Boyfriend is better than husband because a lack of ring is obvious, and it implies that maybe one day I'll be single and just desperate for a guy who regularly makes passes at strangers.
So they call it "signing the slip" now, do they? I can never keep up with these things. Congrats on signing her slip OP!
Unless you really hit it off with her, she probably wont call you. Im a waitress and Ive never called any of the guys that left me numbers over the years because they really dont talk much while youre serving them. However, i have given out my # to a few guys that ASKED for it because they were self assured enough to chat and flirt while they were there. So hopefully op youll get a call, but it might not happen bud. Waitresses will also do some flirting/take a number to make a good TIP, so its hard to tell (trust me :)

She should have called. =P
Why Must People Type Like This? I Always Read Each Word Like It's The Start Of A New Sentence. Does Anyone Else Do That?
