Fever pitch

Today, I jokingly asked my husband if he was going to make it to our first child's christening as there was a football match on at the same time. Without hesitating, he replied that he would just watch the recording. He meant the recording of the christening. He was serious. FML

I must be the only one irritated that it says "replyed" instead of "replied".

Relax, lady, he's just kidding! He's not even going to watch the recording of the Christening. Come on, what's there to see? At that age, a baby is little more than a writhing meatloaf. What a boring video that would be!

OP is snickerdoodles!?....WTF! she has a husband and a son!? this must be fake because snickerdoodles looks like or is a teenager looking for attention

it's easier to reschedule the babies christening than it is to reschedule a televised football game. maybe you could take a tv into the church.

It's actually easier to record the match than reschedule anything.

the fact that you would even consider rescheduling an important event to not coincide with a sports game makes me want to hit you. seriously.

That's so pathetic. Your husband sounds like a douche.

Maybe snickerdoodles is her secret identity :) "Doodle away!"

Doesn't he HAVE to be there o_0 I mean, baptism right? he HAS to be there to sign some shit and hold the baby over :0

You don't have to sign anything. You get a candle with their name on it. And presents. lots of presents.

then if not for the kid, GO FOR THE FREEBIES!!!

maybe not being religious has something to do with it. I hate attending church stuff.

Just 'cause you don't like to do something doesn't mean it's a decent enough excuse to not do it. Yes, it works on some things but not all. It's not like she's making him go every week, she's making him go once to christen their child, just because he doesn't want to doesn't make it a good enough excuse. I could understand him not going for anti-religious reasons, but as he married her I doubt that's the biggest issue in his life.
