Today, I found out that if I don't get fillings in at least ten of my teeth within the next year, I could lose them all. I'm 19. FML

Just because someone has bad teeth, it doesn't necessarily mean they have bad hygiene. Maybe OP just has bad teeth? It happens you know. So don't just assume you know the problem.

Usually the worst part is a little pinch when the doctor injects lidocaine to numb the area. After you are numb you can feel vibration from the drill and sometimes the cold from the water used to cool the tooth as the drill works, but no pain. If there were to be any real pain I would suggest you raise your hand on the opposite side of where the doctor is positioned. Tell the doctor and more lidocaine can be used.

10?? Really What I say is cut down on the sugar intake brush twice a day and go dentist more often! YDI coming for a person who is 13...

There is a novel new invention called the "Toothbrush", when combined with "Toothpaste", then applied to the teeth is a rapid up and down or side to side movement, it can clean the teeth quite effectivly, leaving one with a nice sparkely smile and fresh breath. You may want to try this sometime. In my next reply, I'll introduce you to the wonderful world of toilet paper - you'll never believe what it is used for.........
