I guess he is worthy.
Poor thing...it sucks your dad foolishly wanted your boyfriend to prove his valor but he got what he asked for: a concussion. Now it's time for communication to make amends because fights can create bad blood and your dad may or may not request round 2. They have to talk their differences out like grown adults or your bf may have to leave you for his own or your safety. Whatever consequences occur is your immature dad's fault.
That's toxic masculinity for you.
**** around and find out… he did. Poor kid.
Hopefully, your boyfriend can pull his shit together before your dad comes to. Even if he passed your dad's Fight Club test, he might fail him for the crying bit.
Your dad is a dick.
Dad was an asshole for starting that. Best thing you can do is intermediate, and have a three way talk where you explain to your dad that your boyfriends trauma led to this beatdown, and suggest dad not do that again. Also, if your boyfriend apologises for hitting hard enough to knock him out, but suggest that he and your dad spend time to at least get to know who the other really is (personality wise), it’ll help rebuild the image of each other. If either is sensible, a rocky start can be salvaged without ill will towards each other, and maybe help both save face. Tbh, your dad is the asshole in this, but all isn’t lost. It is something that through communication and understanding can be a dilemma that is solved
