Get a grip

Today, I moved back to my home town. My best friend and I had arranged to rent a house together that we both liked. I finished my last day at work and made the three-hour drive, only for her to break down and tell me that she isn't "ready" to move out of her parents' basement. She's 25. FML

How could she do that? She already thought her friend was a hundred percent sure, hence the arrangement. It's not her fault her friend flaked last minute.

25's the wrong age to move out at wait till 26 it's an even number maybe you can live her parents to plenty of supervision that way

sounds like its about time the real world (ie. u op) went and dragged her butt outta that basement, time to grow up!

Well, I don't think anyone should be hard on her. Granted the fact that she is 25 is extreme, there are many reasons to be so attached. My mother has been one of the only people in my life, and I know I'll have a difficult time moving out, and the fact she has cancer makes it even harder. So yeah, maybe she has a similar situation.

40 - sorry about your Mum. Hope she gets better real soon. I agree with you entirely. X

OMG, dodged a bullet there. She probably would be a horrible room mate that ran back to mommy and daddy when she had to pay bills, leaving you with the lease. I hate room mates anyway, bad experience.

Some people are just slow growers to maturity ;)

Enjoy the house yourself, with her still obligated to pay half the rent until you find a sublet. She owes you that much.
