Ig your a tenant you have rights the landlord doesn't meaning you hav e right to stay in house as a renter for upto 90 on a forclosure. Read up on the laws they come in handy
@25, If you work hard to own property and then decide to rent it out to someone and the tenant doesn't pay rent like he/she agreed to do in the contract then why should that person be allowed to stay in property wasn't paid for? If you want to life in a house/apartment/whatever then EARN IT. If you want hand outs and don't want to earn what you get like a respectable human then be a panhandler. If you don't pay rent then you broke the agreement and are subject to punishment as specified in the contract or by law if it isn't specified.
well what are u waiting for? u got 23 hrs to move now! lmao!
fake. it takes a long time to get a property forclosed on. even if he was selling the house, you still need to have adequate time to find a new place. i know this, because my office does foreclosure defense. tell him to get a good lawyer.
The landlord was just taking the rent payments for months, or even years, and not paying his mortgage. Lots of landlords are doing this these days, since it's a sweet deal for them.
GOT to throw the BS flag on this one. The gov't stopped foreclosures. Ain't happening. Even IF that were so, the landlord HAS to give you notice in WRITTING. It's the LAW. Besides, landlord won't give a sh!t if you live there when it's no longer his property. Let the bank evict you.
Where do you live that they stopped foreclosures? I work at a mortgage company making sure we foreclose on most people that havent been paying. I cant live in my house without paying. Neither should anyone else. Granted, we try to work with the customers who have fallen on hard times but with all the modifications and people who dont pay getting better rates than I could get with my perfect credit, enough is enough. The mortgage company has to pay taxes and insurance if the owner doesn't because thats also the law. Why would mortgage companies or banks just let you live there for free? Its never free for everyone.
a lot of places you can't be kicked out without more warning still you likely have longer than that and frankly less it's already bought from the bank or they want to tear it down right off often the banks happy to keep tenants for a while.

Wouldn't there be some sort of written notice involved? Ask for more time because you didn't receive an eviction notice on paper.
