Today, my husband's rich aunt and uncle came in town and handed us an envelope and said we hope this helps out with the student loans. Inside the envelope was just an article on new student loan procedures and how to get lower payments. FML

I don't think they were expecting money, but the fact that they could have helped and gave them an envelope that they said would help them got their hopes up

i don't think she deserves it..if i was handed an envelope and told the same thing I'd too think it was money.And i think she stated that the aunt and uncle were rich because it helps show why she thought it would be money,.I don't know maybe i just try to see the good in situations and people rather than take my day's anger out on someone i don't know.

I don't think they were expecting any money from the aunt until the aunt said "hope this helps". Who wouldn't assume it was money. But if they've been waiting for their rich relatives to give them money then yes they deserved it.
