Glad to help out

Today, while at work, I was asked if I wanted to leave early. I said no and let my coworker go instead. Two hours later, I was punched in the face by one of my patients, with absolutely no warning or provocation. FML

Well, have you ever been giving a warning that someone is going to punch you? "Hey I'm gonna punch you!" "Hey, this one patient tends to punch people."

He's a psych worker. He let his co-worker go home early and then got punched in the face by a patient. If the OP had chosen to leave early, he co-worker would have gotten punched instead. So the OP was punished for being nice.

#33, the OP is showing that they could've been at home instead of working with the patient at that moment. If they would've went home and let their co-worker stay, they would've never gotten punched.

The OP is demonstrating that, once again, no good deed goes unpunished.

#33, how can you go around calling someone a fucktard, when you're obviously beyond stupid yourself? the OP was offered a chance to go home early. if they had taken it, they wouldn't have been punched in the face. honestly, stupid assholes like you piss me off.

I have a similar type of job. I feel your pain!

that only counts as an FML if you don't work on the medical field.

I don't really think the two things are related.. It could've happened during your normal guard, right?

Well in a way you did get paid to get punched in the face....
