Healthcare is a human right

Today, I was yelled at by my mom because I didn't hear her. I'm only 16, but I swear, to some extent, I'm losing my hearing, I don't even know what from. I've told her this, but she can't hear out of one ear, so of course it wouldn't feel real. I do feel bad about it, but I haven't heard her every time this has happened. FML

Try and get a hearing test. Some schools even administer them on a regular basis, depending on where you are. You school may be able to help you. If not, a doctor definitely can. May even be able to find one online with a stereo headset.

Say something at your next check up. Maybe she'll take it seriously then.

There are many possible causes for hearing losses. Some can be simple such as ear wax build up, some can be very serious. Hearing is important, you need to be checked for this so it can be corrected if necessary.

it very much could be because of genetics...go see a doctor and get it diagnosed
