Yep, time to put a padlock on your purse!
Or a purse guard dog ;)
what is up with these boyfriends and stealing their girlfriends' credit cards??!!
Plot twist: it was the same guy in both FML's and he's cheating on his girlfriends.
Plot twist: the girlfriends are the credit cards.
Although men aren't required to pay, taking your credit card is just rude. He needs to at least be honest instead of saying "I got it."
Of course men aren't required to pay, but as he was taking her out for their anniversary, clearly it's his gift to the both of them, therefore he should be the one paying. OP was being generous offering to pay for half, and then got ripped off by her asshat of a boyfriend. He sounds like a complete douche.
11 - Being deliberately misleading so people misunderstand you is not honesty.
21 exactly, it's THEIR anniversary, so why should the guy be expected to pay?
People chill out. Am I the only one that got that #11 was totally being sarcastic?
"I got it" in that situation generally means that they will pay for it
#52: I agree 100%
52 she didn't expect him to pay that's kind of why it was a dick move on his part he shouldn't act like such a twat waffle. on the other hand he may have trying to make her feel special and may end up paying the credit card dues but without an update the world may never know
You only took one sentence of mine to make your point. I went on to point out that if he is the one paying for the dinner as a gift, then he should be the one to pay it, not OP. forgive me if I'm wrong, but it customary for both partners to get one another a gift is it not? How do you know OP didn't already get her partner a gift? Idiot.
How chivalrous of him. Next time there is a puddle blocking your path I assume he will put your coat down so you can walk over it.
Op "Thank you so much! But what a shame to ruin such a cute coat! Almost something like I would buy... Hey wait..."
maybe he was being a gentleman meant "I got it! I can pickpocket like a pro" he was working on communication and deception skills
It was nice of you to offer, but wow, that's just taking the piss. If it was his idea to go to an expensive restaurant, then he should be obligated to contribute, if not pay all. Even if he didn't want to pay, it was a sleazeball move to use your credit card without permission. I believe that's technically fraud.
Go on a hugeeeee shopping spree (I'm talkin necklaces, dresses, earrings) and come back making sure your boyfriend sees you and when he asks how you paid, say "I got it." He'll know what it means :)
Good call
ViRepz, You really aren't very smart, right?
But... What if the boyfriend doesn't have a credit card?
I ain't saying he a gold digger, but he really is a broke....jerk
Paying for your girlfriend's meal for her: Priceless. There are some things money can't buy... for everything else, there's her Mastercard.
Chivalry is on life support. CHARGE TO 300! CLEAR!
Hm, if I were you I would get your card back and really think about this relationship and ask yourself," do I really wanna pay for my own date?"
Guys always pay for their dates...
#78 my fiancé and I always split the bill on expensive dates, unless one of us is out of money. Dates are supposed to be nice for both people, so there is no reason why the guy should have to pay.
