Beat me to it. Especially in this economy, where other jobs are out of reach of the young people because employers find it easier to hire folks who are already experienced, you really can't be picky, nor can you judge, based on one's work environment. At least they HAVE a job! And whiterabbit, by that logic, fast food should be abolished since it's such a 'poor quality job' for people to have.

Couldn't agree with ya more. Everyone who works at McD's or any other fast food restaurant can't be automatically inferior, so many high schoolers or college kids work there to scrape together as much change as they can. Even if it IS your "career", kinda sucks I'm sure, but at least you have a job. You can't be like, get a job that sucks less.. dude, it's a job. I don't know if you've heard, but it's not like they're passing them out willy-nilly these days. Gotta take what you can get.

82- I'm saying if they are sick of people looking down on them, it's on them to better themselves. It's good that they are working yes. But they always say "it's easier to find a job when you have one" so start looking! People being content with mediocrity is why fast food employees get treated like crap, and why the food is crap.

I actually treat fast food employees with respect. They're people too. Which is probably why they actually give me better food and fill the fry box all the way up.

Were you talking to the OP or someone else commenting? I thought that by "To make it worse..." OP was talking about how their crush saw their dad's behavior...not that they were embarrassed their crush worked at McDonald's.
