Today, while working my overnight shift, I went into the isolation room to find some items for a former client. The door fell shut and the magnetic lock went to work. Both unit telephones and my cell phone were lying on the desk, and I waited four hours for my supervisor to rescue me. FML

Same thing different taste

Today, I got locked inside my apartment due to the locking mechanism being stuck, so I had to call off work. They refused to believe me, and insisted that I be in on time or else there would be disciplinary actions taken. Maintenance wasn't available till 3 hours into my shift. FML

Today, at work, after a visit to the bathroom, the lock broke in my hand and the door was jammed. I called the janitor on my cellphone and told him about the situation. He told me to fill out a complaint and leave it in his post box. He then hung up. FML

Today, my supervisor locked me in the women's bathroom as I was cleaning it. I heard the owner scolding him, so I waited for the door to open, thinking he got in trouble. It wasn't until I heard the front gate locking that I realized I'm staying the night in the bathroom. FML

Today, my first day on the job, I locked up the office after everyone left and set the alarm. An hour later, my new boss angrily emailed me that I locked him inside the building, setting off the alarm and prompting the entire police department to show up. FML

Today, I accidentally locked myself out of my apartment while taking the trash out, without my phone. I had to wait outside for three hours until my flatmate came home from work to let me back in. FML

Long walk home

Today, I got locked out of a building that I work in (I work night shifts). I locked my phone, wallet, and car keys in the building. I had no way of contacting my boss or getting a ride. I had to walk home at night, almost got hit by a car full of dudes yelling slurs, and had a woman scream at me from the passenger seat of a car. FML

Today, I was going to the bathroom at work. Since I knew it would take a while, I brought my iPod in for entertainment. To bad it disabled me from hearing the continuous knocks on the door as well as the manager eventually picking the lock and busting in. FML

Today, I replaced the battery in a closet’s electronic keypad door lock, and I accidentally locked myself inside. My family was traveling, so I had to call a neighbor. He got me out, but took pictures and posted them to social media. FML

Today, I freaked out when I couldn't get my bathroom door open. After ten minutes of panic when thinking about how I'd be stuck there for at least 8 hours until my roommate would get home, and another five mentally going over survival skills, I realized that I had forgotten to unlock the door. FML

... you do realize most women's pants don't have real pockets, or at least pockets big enough to hold anything more than loose change, right? I would give like... my favorite Lego set to a clothing designer who made women's pants with usable pockets.

Also very curious what sort of job she has. Most doors with external electronic or safe-style locks have some sort of emergency release button on the inside - even most walk-in freezers do these days. I don't think they meet fire codes without them, in the US. Perhaps #9 is right, and its a room to lock patients or prisoners in? Odd, then, that she calls them a client, and that they had personal items in the room? Again, hard to say anything about this without any context. Maybe she'll post in the comments, or somebody else will have an idea.

When I was in Juvenile Detention they explained to me that sometimes when the cells have all filled up they had girls stay in isolation, even though they weren't really supposed to be there. Granted, you can't have much in your room in juvenile detention, but I could see that happening in a psych ward.

Your in isolation and its getting boring and there is no audible theme patch you to ur boss you're the king of the room and looking like you know You're in isolation muthafuc'a dont you ever forget.
