Hindrance

Today, I haven’t spoken to my husband in a week, and when I finally spoke to him he thanked me because he’s gotten so much work done round the house, caught up on all his paperwork for his job, and reconnected with his Xbox friends. I didn’t realise I was such a fucking distraction. FML

Anyone childish enough to do the whole "I'm not talking to you" thing for an entire week is definitely the kind of person who causes enough problems that their partner is going to be grateful for the break. That sort of behaviour is massively toxic. You wanted to make him upset all week long because you didn't deign to talk to him. Consider yourself lucky if he only caught up on things he needed to rather than spending the time to realise he didn't want to be with you anymore.

If you can silent treatment your husband for an entire week because of YOUR feefees, chances are all you do is bitch and whine and bitch and whine. Pay attention to what you say and more importantly how you say it. Because it really sounds like you're the problem here.

Then STFU for a while, let your husband amass some wealth, then take half of that (or more) in the divorce settlement.

Counseling, or divorce. The former may lead into the latter anyway.

Lean the lesson; silence = reward, non-stop talking=punishment. The counseling session will be interesting.

For me and my husband it's the same. We just tend to be more lazy around each other but silent treatment is a no-go.
