You probably could have pulled some unsafe cleaning hazard shit about having to clean up human remains without proper gear or whatever. At my old job, my manager got a mess of blood all over the bathroom and it was my turn to clean it that night. Needless to say I refused to do so without proper protection. I guess it could be considered a dick move. But my immune system is shitty and I don't take chances with hazardous messes. I would not be ok with that.
