My only question, is, are you an actual lumberjack? Or did he just mean that in the sense that you're strong, independent, etc.?

I hope you corrected him and said, "Lumberjill, dad. We prefer to be called Lumberjill's." He could mean that you're a handsome woman. Strong, reliable, not afraid to get stuck in and get dirt under your nails & give it a go. Sounds like a pretty good compliment to me. Chin up OP, coz when you find that man, whoooeee, he'll sure treat you like a queen.
