Today, my daughter confessed that she’s pregnant from a one-night stand with some guy she met on vacation in Florida a few months ago. The dirtbag never told her his last name and the phone number he gave her was fake. FML

I don't know why everyone is **** shaming it's not fair if a girl has a one night stand she is a **** but if a guy does it they are patted on the back and given high fives. Women enjoy sex as much as men yet we are told we shouldn't. It's as ok for us as it is for men. If you don't like it too bad I'm sorry she got pregnant but she should NOT be ashamed for having a one night stand

They met, it got steamy, they had sex. Unlikely, that last names would've been mentioned - why would they be? No one says their full name unless it's a job interview. And girls give fake numbers all the time! Yeah, a douchey move, but not an uncommon one. If it was meant to be a one off stand on a holiday, I can completely understand not wanting to change details. Her fault for not ringing it immeditately to pass on the number if anything. Though possible, unlikely, that the pill didn't work or condom broke - again, the guy should also know better, if not for anything else than STDs, but in the end of the day it's her body and she should've been the one insisting on the condom. He's really not that big of a dirtbag as your daugther is irresponsible and perhaps not the brightest in the box

To boopingsnoo, there's mistakes (many of which can be corrected) and then there's MISS-takes that last a lifetime and seriously affect multiple people. She not only gambled and lost, but didn't cover all her bets by not confirming a valid phone number. Futhermore, I'm not sure that simply having only a cell phone number (w/ no Google/ facebook hits) would be enough to convince a judge to issue a subpoena to a provider(s) for the name & USPS address overriding privacy issues....

Seeing how the one night stand was a few month back I assume it is too late for abortion. She needs some education about sex and protection. Seriously, if you don't use protection at least you could regularly take STI and pregnancy tests. If she did use protection (which I doubt, protection does not fail as much as people pretend it does) she could still take regular pregnancy tests just to be sure. They are cheap and available practically everywhere. They are both to blame if they did not use protection. If that is the case, the dude definitely does not deserve a pass. Try to find him on social media or ask other people she hanged out with if they know him. If you are dumb enough not to use protection (be it because "it feels better" or whatever other dumb reason) you should suffer the consequences.
