It would be true that it wouldn't be as bad...if she was teaching her about drinking too much alcohol. She was trying to tell her about the EFFECTS of alcohol, which is a fancy was of telling your kid not to drink...while she has DRINKING. Yeah, good job OP. You're a shining example of what parenting should be. You're like that one guy who says "DON'T HIT PEOPLE" before smacking his kid.
if you even have your kids in the same room as you while some guy is doing nude pushups on you, then you my friend have failed as a parent.
and remember honey, no doing drugs. unless you are lonely, tired, bored, normal, or horny.
my dad is a drunk lol. yay me(: which means I can drink wheneverrr
i bet you feel real happy your life is screwed up
haha ... next time be a little more careful ... :D
What a great rolemodel you are. -rolls eyes-
Well um, I own wine glasses and I never use them for wine...they were a wedding gift, I always put my drinks in them when I want to, some people gave me weird looks when I invited them over because I was pregnant, I had to tell them it was just water or red soda :)
**** everyone who's insulting the OP's parenting. Unless the OP abuses alcohol (there is no solid indication she does), there's nothing wrong with her parenting. The daughter is underage, the OP is not.
Has nobody else realized that the FML only said wine glass? Leaving me to hesitate before I rush to assume it was filled with wine and that OP is a terrible parent. It was circumstantial, with a bout of bad luck and inattentiveness which led her to remain unaware of the wine glass in her hand. Ergo, this is perhaps more of an FML than it seems.
There's nothing wrong with enjoying alcohol in moderation. Instead of just giving her the dark picture you can explain her that it can be enjoyable if drunk in moderation. It's not like she would not get it if she decides to try.
So??? My Dad always lectured me about not smoking, even while he was smoking a cigarette himself. He was a heavy chain-smoker and hated the fact that he couldn't quit. I think he was example enough to teach me not to do it.
hypocrit ftw
so what? not an fml imo...
