That's their way of telling you to stop being a retard and eat steak. It's delicious, and despite the idiotic myths, as long as it's eaten in moderation it's actually quite good for proper muscle and tissue growth in your body.
what i have failed to understand is how ones like these are considered FMLs when they include in the post that its not the first time its happened.
I too am a vegetarian and my parents are all on board for it, my family outside of my house are really the ones that don't remember. it sucks because there really isn't much to eat at family stuff
For me it's the complete opposite.
FYL. Drives me nuts when people celebrate in my honor with foods I don't care for. My dad gave me lobster for my high school graduation. I can't stand lobster. I spent the entire night thinking "If you want lobster, eat it in celebration of yourself. If you want to celebrate me, than make food that I like." More or less the same thing, just with different foods and possibly different reasons. Hopefully, there were some other good things for you to eat, that they made to go along with the steak. If not, FYL even more than already.
Some of us are lactose intolerant and can't have milk.
I bet they know but want to bring u back to the dark side
YDI for being vegetarian, and three times in eleven years isn't much, deal with it, it's not that bad.
Meat of all kinds on average has more fat (the bad types), grease, cholesterol, etc., than most things in a vegetarian's diet. A study done showed that vegetarians on average live 4-7 years longer than people who eat meat and are far less likely to suffer heart attacks. So we must be doing something right :)
I'd rather live 4 to 7 years less and have meat than live longer without it.

Hmm...just a thought, but I don't think this was posted as a for/against debate. My guess is that the OP was just upset about the fact that this dinner, prepared FOR her, was full of food she has refused to eat for a long time. It sounds like the parents are one way and so they think their offspring should be the same. It's no different than if the OP was lesbian and when she got home they had the hot new neighbor guy over and tried to hook them up. I'm guessing that would give some laughs, but many more arguments that it was wrong. The fact is, the OP chose a certain lifestyle and the parents not only ignored it but tried to force their own lifestyle on her. Cut her some slack, once again...this dinner was supposed to be a "welcome home" meal.
somebody doesn't want you to be a vegitarian
