OCD or just a dingus?

Today, I came home from class to find a nasty note on my roommate's toaster oven. Apparently, cleaning it once a week isn't enough, and she wants it cleaned right after using it, which she never told me all school year. I'm banned from using it. FML

If you're getting it dirty, you should clean it afterwards. But I agree that she should have told you if you weren't cleaning it often enough.

Tell her to get it the **** out of the common area, otherwise it would be a shame if it were to meet with an unfortunate accident. A damn shame...

A couple of things occur to me: … (1) Food crumbs and debris in a toaster oven invite bugs… (2) Roommate’s toaster oven - They get to set the rules about using it… While it would have been best if roommate told you the rules upfront about their toaster oven, it should also be obvious that you don’t leave someone’s stuff in a mess when you use it - from one use or a weeks use.
