For everyone knocking going to tanning salons, maybe she lives somewhere where there isn't a lot of sun? It's the end of April, and there's about 10 cm of fresh snow on the ground where I live. I'm obviously not going to tan outside. Maybe she's going on a vacation and doesn't want to burn, so she's getting a base tan. People are so quick to judge. Either way though, that's riduculous that you peed yourself because the tanning booth was too loud. I call BS.
A spray tan doesn't actually tan the skin, it's a chemical that dyes the skin temporarily. So if she was going for a base tan for vacation to keep from burning then it's still YDI. Sunscreen keeps skin from burning, not tanning. Burning is what causes cancer.
spray tanning isn't that bad, the girl next to me in class had one and I was debating whether she had either sat in the sun all day yesterday or gotten a spray tan, then she sat down and I smelled the distinctive spray tan smell. But it looks really natural, she had gotten it 3 hours early, and so the smell was strong but after a shower the smell and darkness fades.
Honestly, self confidence would help. I really don't get the idea behind the whole obsession with having a "bronze" body. And for those saying natural is dangerous, just be smart. I've spent my last two summers almost entirely outdoors working at Cedar Point and have had no problems. If you know you're prone to burning or are going to be outside all day, use sunscreen. I think probably about 75% of my summer was spent outside, the other 25% was split between the employee cafeteria and my room, sleeping.
#74 then why the hell bother to get a tan in the first place? there is nothing more ridiculous than being somewhere cold or unsunny and seeing someone with an obviously fake tan. a tan is meant to be the by-product of time spent in the sun (like spending time relaxing or working outdoors in a sunny area) not a fashion accessory that people use to cover up insecurities about their own looks. people who fake tan are shallow and look ridiculous, end of story.
honestly..who pees themself? are you like 5?

No offense, but how much of a whimp can you be? You know it's the spray tan...yet you're still so scared you pee yourself. YDI
Oh poor guys that had to clean up that mess.
