You can get re-useable mouse traps in both live-trap and quick-kill versions. Sticky traps are great for bugs, but for the love of little green apples, don't use them on vertibrates.
My parents had sticky traps in our basement to catch crickets. One day my dog (who is usually scared of the basement) decided to investigate down there. The next thing I know she has glue traps on 3 paws and is clacking around, trying to shake them off. It was hilarious. Luckily, I think the ones made for crickets don't use very strong glue (or these were really old) so I could just pull them off. Then I washed her paws and she was (physically) fine.
Sorry but you deserve it for using sticky torture device that ought to be illegal. Best case the mouse dies from stress (fear) before it dies from thirst. If you don't want to wake up your husband take a knife, shovel or basically anything and depr rate head from body to end its suffering.
Woman up and deal with the mouse yourself.
There are enclosed traps that instantly kill the mouse. Better to use than sticky traps and you don't have to see the dead mouse afterwards.
That's really inhumane. That mouse is suffering. There is nothing to be scared of. YDI
I really hate to say this but the reason it was squeaking is because it's trying to get loose and the traps are so sticky it's ripping it's hair and skin off. Yet you call yourself a mouse lover
Why would you want to hurt a mouse? You're EVIL.
YDI, for placing sticky traps. My friend is afraid of mice too but she at least has the decency to end their suffering when they get caught in a trap.

So you're just going to let the mouse suffer all night?
Uhh... if you're REALLY a mouse lover as your name and choice of trap suggests, you might think about waking your husband up or facing your fears. Mice don't react all that well to stress, especially not hour long fear for their life. You might wake up to a dead mouse because its heart has given out.
