Here's an idea, use humane traps that way it won't suffer at all let along all damn night AND it won't have to die just because it got into your house. That's ******* awful. Sticky traps should be banned.
My roommate woke me up once because there was a mouse caught in our lethal traps that didn't actually die and the sound was freaking her out. I had to stomp it to death...
Well what on earth did you think would happen? Except death and quietly die? Look I'm no fan of mice, they're utter pests to me, but think thoroughly how to get rid of them. What you can do now is just end it's life as quickly as you can but I'm pretty sure you woke up your husband anyways to do it for you.
Should've just had a real trap to kill him quickly
People! She didn't know. I'm sure after this she'll use another trap. Also, wake your husband up.
Those traps are infamous for being inhumane, and even then, if she couldn't realize that an animal that is literally GLUED in place would be distressed, she lacks the ability to apply basic logic. People are annoyed because either she used a trap while (likely intentionally) ignorant of what it would be like for the animal, or knew and used it anyway, and is more upset about her lack of sleep than the animal that is in extreme duress a few feet away. Neither exactly says the best things about her.
Get a cat.
This is totally your fault you could have gotten humane traps. Sticky traps are meant to have the mouse stuck and generally slowly starve to death while trying to find a way to escape, including chewing off limbs and such. I can't believe people in 2016 still are so careless of other beings lives, no matter how small or how insignificant it may seem to. You. That creature is going to scream in pain and be terrified until you wake up your husband or you do something to show you have some empathy towards a life besides your own and end its suffering. I don't care about the risk of things they spread or how they are an irritant.. Get rid of them. But do it fing humanely ffs.

So you're just going to let the mouse suffer all night?
Uhh... if you're REALLY a mouse lover as your name and choice of trap suggests, you might think about waking your husband up or facing your fears. Mice don't react all that well to stress, especially not hour long fear for their life. You might wake up to a dead mouse because its heart has given out.
