Surprise parties are bullshit. They make people believe conspiracy theories. If everyone around you could make secret plans to celebrate your birthday, who knows what kind of plans a secretive group can make?
Well you know your husband best. If he’s usually a homebody and introverted and chilled this is on you. If he’s always been a party goer and socialiser, I can see the “F**K!” moment but he should’ve told you ahead of the date that he wanted something low key.
I hope you at least told him then to prepare him for what was in store. 😧
That's a pretty strange thing to say when headed out to dinner. Have you done this before? Have you ambushed him so many times that he has started to find it a reasonable possibility? It might be time to cut back on the surprises.
Maybe he just wants sex for his birthday. :D
