i know a lot of people have said this, but it isn't really an fml when you don't know something like that. i'm a trekkie, and i hate star wars. a lot of fans of one don't like the other. they're also very different. star trek was a tv show, several movies, several books and an extremly complex world. star wars in six movies, hundreds of books, and a "dark side." even if you aren't a trekkie or a "jedi" knowing the difference between yoda and spock and luke and kirk really shouldn't be too hard. also, you shouldn't be fml because, if you have nothing in common, why would you want to go out with him. i mean, i'm a girl, and if my guy didn't know the difference i might not dump him, but i would make sure he knew damn well by the end of the night. it can offend trekkies and "jedi's" when you mistake their love with something else. ps. i hope you went home and learned the difference. you will have to know once in your life.

I'm quite surprised at the amount of people that are all 'YDI, How could you NOT know?!', wtf? I don't have a clue either, and i'm not particularly bothered. Why is everyone making out like it is highly important general knowledge? So knowing that stuff will make you suddenly a better person or more interesting.. you know what else it will get you?
