Today, I was at dance rehearsal. As a male dancer I like to keep the fact that I dance a secret because of the stupid stereotypes male dancers have. This plan was quickly shot down when I discovered I was performing at my school. FML

Today, my boss caught me singing and dancing in the office when I thought no one was around. Trying to save face, I told him I was just practicing for a team-building event. He smiled and said, "Great, you can lead the next one." Now I have to choreograph a team-building dance. FML

Today, I was pretending to be a ballerina. I was dancing around my room, making a complete dick of myself. I eventually caught sight of a pair of guys grinning and filming me with their cellphones through my window. FML

Today, I was at a ballet recital with my friend, sitting between her and the mother of the head male ballerina. When he came on stage in obscenely tight white tights I whispered to my friend, "You can see his whole freaking package!" I'd whispered to the wrong side. FML

Today, while I was on stage dancing for a competition dress rehearsal, my top fell off, exposing my breasts. I was really embarrassed, but fortunately no one said anything about it. That is until a kid in the audience came up to me and said, "That was a disappointment." FML

Today, while dancing at my studio, our instructor was giving us all characters opposite of ourselves to portray in an improv solo. My friends got cool things like "creepy" and "vulnerable". I got "extremely sexy". FML

Today, in dance class we did a choreography where we wear two shirts and take one off in one quick motion. After I took mine off, the audience goes "aaah". Then I realize that I had taken both my shirts off as stood there with only my bra on. I was being videotaped. FML

Today, although I can't dance, I decided to go to a club. A really cute girl asked me to dance, and I politely declined. She kept insisting, so I finally said okay. A few minutes in, she stopped, looked at me, and said, "If you're going to make fun of my dancing, I'm leaving." FML

Well if anyone disses you, you could just tell them that you get to be such a lady's man in dance. You get all the ladies to dance with you. If there are no other guys in your dance, then that means no competition, and you get real close to those ladies.

At my old school, this guy danced at our school pep rally and completely blew the girls' dance groups away. No one made fun of him because they were too busy cheering. They were honestly the only good thing at that pep rally.

It's alright :) I'm a female dancer and know that some male dancers can actually be very masculine. Only we and the ppl that really know you understand but u have to accept that you might be viewed as a stereotypical gay dancer but screw the people who think that.

Don't hide yourself or be worried about stupid stereotypes. You know who you are, don't worry what others think. Male dancers are usually really attractive too. Means your fit, active, and good at dancing. Thats all good things. Stand proud!

No need to worry about the stereo type words. They just hatin cause they can't or are to scared to do it. Keep it up hope you get really good and make broadway. Or movies. If ya have cable or dish check out dance moms there are a few boys in there that almost always win.
