Today, I've had chairs thrown at me, kicks have hit me in the nuts and I've heard "I'm gonna fucking kill you, bitch" several times. I work at a kindergarten. And this is a good day compared to what I'm used to. FML

Hmm this is a tough one to comment on. You are obviously in the wrong career as if you connected with the kids like you should, they wouldn't be hitting you and mouthing off to you. Or the parents of these children are just sooo horrible at parenting that these kids do not know the Swedish word for respect. And it is obvious that these kids do not know the hand of discipline (no don't beat your kids, but some form of discipline is required) or all 3. Get a new job or learn how to do it OP.

I'd say a mild beating is what some of these little bastards could use. Fear commands respect, they don't have to like you all the time, but they need to learn respect. Speaking more of the worthless parents that raise kids like this, obviously a teacher can't discipline a kid like that.

I don't know any child that would act like that in the kindergarten age unless their parents were horrible role models. You don't have to beat your children for them to have some respect! Not that I'm against a spanking!:) They sure helped me out when I was in my bad years lol

I don't think kids should be beaten mildly or harshly, the point of a spanking is not to hurt the kid physically but to hurt their pride a little, let them come down a notch. I was spanked as a child and I will probably spank my kids, but there is a huge difference between spanking and beating.
