Today, we celebrated our daughter's sixth birthday. Out of the 30 invited, 7 showed up. The last one to cancel this morning told us she was ill. My daughter was in tears as this meant the last remaining playmate couldn't come. My wife later saw her tagged on Facebook at another party. FML

Today, it's my birthday. I am a triplet. In my first class, everyone sang happy birthday to my sister. Her friends got her balloons too. My other sister's friends got her flowers. Everyone forgot I was their sister and all of my own friends forgot that it was my birthday. FML

my friends parents invite us all over for their daughters birthday to hang out and remember her, when she died 7 years ago, they do it every year.

I understand, that it's hard to 'get over' this kind of things, but to call this a birthday party and invite people... I'm sorry, but this sounds sick. What kind of a birthday party would that be? I'd understand a memorial or something, but a birthday party.. if anything like this happened to me, if I was the parent, I'd never do something like this. It's... I don't have any words.

Yeah, it's sad that the people lost their kis and all, but it's pretty goddamn creepy that they still have parties for them.. You kinda have to move on when people die, not spend the rest of your life in mourning.

That's really sad and disturbing. So sorry for the family that list their infant triplets. But, birthday parties don't seem like an appropriate activity.
