I know only a handful of people who smoke... most don't. Its really bad for your health and your wallet. You can potentially shave years off your life by smoking and by smoking around your kids you're shaving years off theirs with second-hand smoke plus encouraging them to smoke as well. So, yeah. Speak for yourself because I definitely care.

You know can smoking kill, right? I mean, I'm not going to call the woman an idiot for smoking, once hooked it can be difficult to quit and I get that, but smoking in an enclosed area with kids in the same area, that's stupid and should be avoided for the kids' sakes.

I hate it when people say that smoking will shave years off your life. Let us be honest, what exactly are most of us losing there? A few more years of growing old, senile, and probably rickety with arthritis. It's not exactly like we are going to be enjoying those years anyway. That is probably the least compelling reason to quit smoking that has ever been created. I mean don't get me wrong, I'm not encouraging people to run out and start smoking, but that is just not a good argument.

Oh yeah because a potential very painful few years of chemo to get rid of the cancer that is making it so you cant do anything at the age of 40 is sooooooooo much than being an 80 year old senile who is very happy because he/she can't remember much of anything and therefore lives moment by moment. I don't know about you but the latter sounds like a much better life than dealing with (potential) cancer. True its not guaranteed but its pretty much scientifically proven that if you smoke you will most likely get some form of cancer, heart disease and die earlier than the life expectancy.

Well, technically it's a very good argument because people who smoke go through those terrible years a lot earlier in life than those who don't. It does a lot of wear and tear on your body and causes problems like that to come quicker. Obviously, there are exceptions so don't go anal on me and pick out the rare occasions.

Ok, I'll rephrase my first sentence; 'You know smoking can significantly increases the chances of serious illness.' I think that covers most if not all people, seeing as the smoking can kill thing didn't tempt you, Chibi. :P
