That's probably just a lame excuse. The real reason they fired you is that they require privacy when they poop.
surely there should be some sort of disciplinary procedure or even just a warning... Firing seems a bit harsh
I got in trouble recently for not completing "Cyber Security Training" which tells us about dodgy emails and how to spot them. I'd deleted the email because it looked like a dodgy link. Apparently so did many other people.

Well that's what I said! I have three fundamental rules. 1. do I know the sender/company? 2. am I expecting this email/does it make sense I have received this? 3. is it specifically asking me to click a link and telling me I have to and if I don't something bad will happen? the email brought up red flags on all three rules. I said they should be concerned about the people who clicked it without thinking about it.
I honestly can't think of any job where you don't need to know some basic computer skills. Like oh I don't know sending an email to your boss wondering why you're not doing anything
