Today, I asked students to identify a woman that made a difference in history. I got several people answering Martin Luther King Jr. These are 9th graders. FML

Would Coretta Scott King have been an okay answer? As the saying goes. "Behind every successful man is a great woman".

I didn't know MLKJ was transgender.

Was this a quiz or a test? If so, you can give them all zeroes for cheating. When idiots cheat from idiots, it's very obvious.

You should realise by now, that most kids my age now just really don't care anymore. They say whatever first pops up in their tiny mind.

Ask a 12th grader the same question and you will probably get the same answer.

"Oh. Oh. I know; Martina Luther King!"

American education at its finest ladies and gentlemen

Come on children its not hard. Sally ride, amelia ergart, the lady who did all of the code to get us to the moon, rosa parks. There are so many, except youre 1 answer

I love that one of your examples is a typo followed by one that amounts to 'someone who did something good but I don't know their name'. Well done. Maybe you should get EnvyMe33 to show you where the library is.

One child has risen above gender. A great person is a a great person. The others did not know shit and copied. FYL for poor invigilation, YDI.

Freshmen. I remember when I was one last year. Don't worry. I am a sophomore, and the good news is teenagers mature by their sophomore year. The bad news is, not everyone makes this change. Good luck.

I'm more concerned that your students can not successfully identify the difference between a man and a woman.
