He must want out of your marriage. Maybe he has another woman and was looking to divorce you or run away from you. He doesn't sound like he would be worth it to stay with.

It's a lousy thing to do, have someone put it all out there, and then just say I don't love you. It's malicious. He IS an ass. Did he need a big ego stroking before he took a crap on her? It's easy to say divorce him, but since they are married they are likely financially bound to each other.
